Everyone needs a weekend escape every now and then, and lucky for you – Marnong Estate is right on your doorstep.

With stunning views of the Macedon Ranges, a visit to this four-star resort, restaurant and vineyard is the perfect excuse to take a break from reality and treat yourself.

Marnong Estate opened in early 2018 and accommodates for guests seeking to dine, stay and explore. Those wishing to dine can head towards Bankvale Run, the resident restaurant with a menu that lends itself well to sharing. From breakfast through to dinner, the menu showcases dishes that are made from locally grown and sourced produce and features the best of what is in season. For breakfast, think freshly baked pastries and Danishes all the way through to the Bankvale Breakfast with eggs, mushroom, bacon and organic sourdough. As the day wears on, expect dishes like Seafood Fettuccine with fresh herbs, Crispy Skin Pork Belly with lentils and apple sauce, and Bankvale Run Signature 300-Gram Scotch Fillet with red wine jus. Year-round, the wood fire oven burns strong to produce pizzas topped with handmade burrata, cherry tomatoes, rocket, grilled mushrooms, prawns, prosciutto… the list goes on.  The menu revolves around large dishes designed for many hands – think Sunday night gatherings over platters of pizzas and roasts with plenty of wine from the Estate to top it off. Once the doors open in the morning, they’re open for coffee, wine and pizza, any time of the day.

Those wishing to stay can take advantage of the four luxury suites that accommodate for up to eight people in the restored homestead that dates back to the 1860s. The rooms are fully equipped with king beds and ensuites. Just a short drive from Sunbury, these stunning provincial guest rooms could be the perfect place for family and friends to stay when visiting your new home.

For those who are keen to explore, the 11 hectares of vineyards of neighbouring Sunbury Estate is your playground. The vines grow shiraz, chardonnay and pinot gris grapes which are nurtured into cool climate wines which are featured on the menu at Bankvale Run.

Whether you are searching for a space to have dinner with a large group of friends and family or seeking a tranquil escape, there’s a solution to every desire at this Daylesford Macedon Ranges dream. The best part is – it’s just a hop, skip and a jump from Redstone, so a little indulgence is just around the corner!
