The most long-established Indian restaurant in Sunbury, Flag of India boasts all the authenticity of India right in your own backyard.

Over the years it has developed a loyal following, with some regularly coming
back for a meal long after they moved out of Sunbury.

The menu is sure to have something for everyone with a wide selection of
both meat and vegetarian dishes clearly sorted by “hotness”, from all time
favourite Butter Chicken for those liking it mild, to Tanatan, “mother of all hot
curries” for the adventurous.

Bombay Crunch (Bhel Poori) makes for a sensational light, spicy, sweet and
tangy vegetarian entree. Rice puffs, peanuts, onion and coriander with chef’s
secret tamarind dressing are served on a crunchy iceberg lettuce bed.

Out of medium curries, Highway Chicken is not to be missed! It is a rustic
Punjabi chicken curry on the bone, full of robust flavours, from the highways of
north India called dhaba.

For a vegetarian curry, try Soya Tikka Masala. Very creamy and a little sweet
and savoury, tandoori soya chaap is cooked in a spicy, creamy, tomato sauce
with onion and capsicum.

But there’s a lot more than curry to choose from. Momos, from neighbouring
Nepal, are a hugely popular street food in India. Steamed dumplings stuffed
with mildly spiced vegetable filling, they are served with spicy tomato & garlic
chutney.

You can’t go past fragrant Biryani Rice with chicken, goat and vegetarian
options to choose from.

Traditionally cooked in a charcoal fired tandoori oven, naan bread is out of this
world and perfect for mopping up every last bit of sauce. Be prepared for the
mouth watering smoky aroma to fill your car if you’re picking it up!

For dessert we suggest a refreshing Mango Lassi or Pista Kulfi, a traditional
Indian ice cream with pistachio.
If you’re unsure of what to order or the spice hotness just ask the staff as they
are happy to recommend – and have always hit the mark.
